If you have been referred for Psychiatric assessment, there is a wait time. The wait is generally in the 6 month range – though it can get longer or shorter (and this site will not be updated to give ‘real time updates’ of the waiting list).
Once the referral is received, our office will begin the process. You will get a ltter with a link to do a computerized questionnaire about the youth who is referred. Your appointment will not be booked until we receive the response.
You will receive an appointment time to come for consultation. When you come, please bring any old testing reports (i.e. any psychological testing, or other relevant reports). Please bring old report cards, as well as details of any other relevant medical or psychiatric issues.
NB If your referral does not meet the criteria of our clinic – i.e. over 18 years old, or living out of our geographic region, then we will not be able to accept the referral, and it will be sent back to your doctor with this information.
